Privacy notice

This notice describes what happens to personal data when you browse this website. The controller is the holder named in the legal notice. Processing follows the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 for visitors in the United Kingdom, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 because the holder is established in Spain.

1. Server logs

When a page is requested, our server records the IP address, date and time, the address requested, the referring page and the browser string. These logs keep the service secure and working and are deleted after a short period. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

2. Cookies and local storage

We set no tracking cookies of our own. Your choice of light or dark display is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. Advertising partners may set cookies, as explained next.

3. Google AdSense

Pages may show advertisements served by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4). Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers — third-party cookies — to deliver ads, limit how often you see them and, where you have agreed, to personalise them using your earlier visits to this and other websites. Google explains this at policies.google.com/technologies/ads; you can switch personalised advertising off at adssettings.google.com or via aboutads.info. Where consent is needed it is collected through a consent banner before personalised ads load (Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time.

4. Maps, fonts and scripts

Maps use OpenStreetMap data and tiles, typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts and the map library from unpkg.com. Loading them passes your IP address and browser details to those providers, which is technically unavoidable for the page to display; we do not receive anything back from them.

5. Company information

The insolvency records shown come from The Edinburgh Gazette, a public official newspaper, and relate to companies. We do not publish personal insolvencies and we do not name individual insolvency practitioners, directors or petitioners — only firms and companies.

6. Your rights

You may ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, by writing to [email protected]. You can complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AF — ico.org.uk — or to the authority of the holder's country, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid — aepd.es.
